Randy and I were thrilled to have the opportunity to visit our son’s church, Grace Presbyterian Church, in Jackson, Tennessee, this past September.
Brent and Noele are pictured above (top left in the photo with our granddaughter, Faith). Our three beautiful granddaughter, Anne, Joy, and Lydia are seated on the front row (right side). Randy and I are standing on the far left side. Brent and Noele will celebrate their first anniversary in the pastorate of Grace Pres this February.
Randy and I enjoyed Brent’s sermon on worship as well as warm fellowship with the congregation after worship. The delicious home-cooked meal honoring the retirement of Grace Presbyterian’s lovely organist, Mrs. Shirley (pictured above center). Mrs. Shirley faithfully served the covenant community at Grace as organist for over thirty-five years.
The lovely flower centerpiece was made by one of the congregants at Grace, Mrs. Barbara Tucker, Master Gardener. She was a joy to get to know. I had so much fun talking to her about her garden!
Grace Presbyterian Church is a member of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). Their mission is to be known as a warm and loving community where people will find expository preaching, a commitment to reformed confessional theology, Christ-exalting worship, and a focus on church health.
Randy and I enjoyed worship and fellowship with the saints at Grace and look forward to going back again. We praise God for His provision and calling for Brent and his family and look forward to Grace bearing much fruit as they proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ to the people of Jackson, Tennessee.
